Canada to house Nuclear Waste!

We have just received word from Environemental Defense Canada that the first underground storage facility for low-level nuclear waste in Canada is being proposed for the shores of Lake Huron in Kincardine.

This move follows meetings this past summer, revealed by the Sierra Club of Canada, where our federal government told the US we would take on the role of nuclear waste storage, to allow for increased production and profits by the nuclear industry.

If you 'beg to differ' with our current minority leader of government, and are interested in making a presentation to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission on this proposal at its public consultation meeting on October 23 in Kincardine, you must email: info@cnsc-ccsn.gc.ca or fax: 613-995-5086 to request a time slot.
